How long does it take your engine to see a "mate in 15"...?

It takes Hiarcs 11.2 about 3 minutes to ann. mate in 15..
but at first, it sees a mate in 17 in about 60 sec,...!

Hi Steve B.

Bxh6 is also a good test for dedicated machines.......

I made up this test position for dedicated machines.... years ago now..
RISC found Bxh6 in about 4 seconds..
Novag Scorpio....takes 1 min. 56 sec.

Correction.......Now HIARCS 11.2 announces a mate in 21 ....in 2 min.

and then later a Mate in 13...in about 3 minutes..

so now I am not sure what it is...

Is that your own engine? Is there a place where we can download that
Spark 0.3a....?

So far...I do not have that one on my computer...

Hi Rob

just received in a new/old chess computer
a Novag Constellation 2 Mhz
the first in the Constellation series
your position seems like as good a way as any to test the computer so will give it a whirl later today

Regards
Steve
