20th Amateur Series Division 5

Post by Graham Banks »

20TH AMATEUR SERIES (Division 5)

Intel i5 750
ChessGUI
128mb hash each
3-4-5 piece tablebases
Ponder off
HS-Large Remis.bk3 book (limited to 12 moves)
40 moves in 25 minutes repeating (adapted for the CCRL)
4 cycles 44 rounds
All engines 32-bit 1CPU
Thanks to Harald Johnsen for a script he wrote that makes it much easier for me to post round by round results and standings.
This will be the last series for both Sage and Popochin unless new versions come out. The top engine will gain automatic promotion, but there will likely be no automatic relegation. The second top engine and the bottom engine (perhaps others also) will play grading matches to determine which division they will play in for the next series.
Participants

Delphil 2.6a
Sage 3.53
Sorgenkind 0.4
Pawny 0.18
Popochin 3.2
RattateChess 1.0 Nosferatu
Cheese 1.3
Ares 1.003a
AliChess 4.21
Butcher 1.60n1
Waxman 2009
Gibbon 2.52a

For those wanting to follow more closely

Post by Graham Banks »

I will post updates here after every six rounds, but those wanting to follow the tournament more closely can do so from here:
http://kirill-kryukov.com/chess/discuss ... f=7&t=5076
The games will be available for download after every two rounds from there.

I guess Delphil and maybe Pawny are the favorites here.

Delphil for sure and Pawny should also be right up there challenging. The new version of AliChess could possibly be a dark horse.

Cheers,
Graham.

Graham, I have a new version in my pocket, but this time I'm not going to
give you headaches and I'll wait a bit (and also make thorough testing before release it). :)
Will follow closely again. Thanks!

p.s. Considering the last div.6 tour, I think Gibbon have good chances to suppress Pawny.
