This is way too early and there are too few games. Still, I hope this is a fluke. However, there is a result from Harun that worried me. Are you using Gaviota in Winboard mode or UCI?

Hi Miguel,

I am running Gaviota in UCI mode.

Cheers,

Hi Miguel,

I am running Gaviota in UCI mode.

Cheers,
Graham.
mmmhhh.... Harun saw a bad performance in 10 games in UCI mode and switched to WB. Maybe I am paranoid, but I will pay attention. Keep running it in UCI, if it finishes last and goes down to the lower class, then so be it. Let's wait and trust in a come back :-)

I did not see anything wrong in the UCI version but my tests were in Linux, using polyglot+xboard, and fast games.

I am happy to switch to Winboard mode and replay the games if you wish, because it's still early.
The games are available to download if you want to take a look at them first though before deciding.

Cheers,
Graham.

Thanks, but it is ok Graham. I prefer to know whether there is something wrong. My curiosity is stronger than my competitive side.
You can keep using it in UCI mode. In theory there should be no difference and maybe this is just paranoia. Worst case scenario, Gaviota will have to climb back next time. It is fine because you play tournaments very often. If that is the case, we will have to label this 0.75.7-uci not to mess up the ratings of other engines.
