I don't have Rybka 4. There's been quite a great correlation between the engine's scores in STS and their ratings as you can see here:

Here is the grading system. S is superior grade.

Code: Select all

85+ S
80+ A+
75+ A
70+ A-
65+ B+
60+ B
55+ C+
50+ C
45+ D
40+ E

are you now using 4 cores? iirc you initially used 1 core/10 seconds.

edit -- sorry, that's obviuosly moot with robbo, but with SMP engines?

i'd be happy to test R4 but my system is slightly faster & 64 bit. i could still run a 32 bit instance i suppose. i'm not sure what to do about the speed diff (mine is 4x3ghz).

Hi Swami, tnx, but I couldn´t made the question right about the relationship between elo and grade
That´s what I mean is : For reach the grade S, for example, one engine must have the "knowledge" that
corresponds to 2700 elo human player, and so on?, I know that if one engine have a huge elo it could
have S in each test, but I want to know it in reference to the "knowledge" from the human point of view

Tnx 8-)

I believe for a 2700+ human GM, the grade could be at the least A+.

For exceptional Super GM's, It could be some A+ and some S.

All the tests are done with 1 CPU even when an engine comes with MP support. I just want to have a idea of how they compare in 1 CPU tests.
