SWCR Champions League: 640 games 40 / 150 will start ...

Post by Frank Quisinsky »

... next week Monday.

I think on one time in the year I should play a SWCR-Champions-League with 15x more time as I used in SWCR.

Time control will be: 40 moves in 150 minutes!

The Champions-League will start on Monday January 10th, 2011 for around 32 days. 32 days need my 4 Quad Core machines for 640 games with 40 moves in 120 minutes.

I think the best way to skip all the updates in these crazy times :-)
Regards to the programmers, I like all of them :-)

After the SWCR Champions-League I will start at first a SWCR-32 tourney with an "All-In-One-Update-Tourney". At the moment 14 updates from the TOP-26 engines are in the latest 10 weeks available. Same I do for SWCR-64 after the SWCR-32 tourney ... or I lost to many time with "Round-Robin systems" with games nobody need. For the moment 20 new engines I have to pick up. To many updates for round robin systems.

So I hope of many more engine updates in the next 30 days before I restart my SWCR.

If you have interest on the SWCR Champions-League, you can follow this event with LIVE tourney tables I will create. In the next days I will create a detail page too.

For the moment you can find more information in my Actual Page, entry 109.

Best
Frank

PS:
SWCR webpages will be update next week Monday too.
So all pages will be actual.

Re: With premium / bonus point system, developed by myself!

Hi there,

an engine with 0.0 points can't get a premium / bonus point, sorry!
This questions comes for second per mail :-)

I think I need the Stockfish team for clearer sources :-)

Hi there,

I developed in three minutes a little bonus / premium point system for my first SWCR Champions-League 2011 tourney. One line sources in my brain ... so the Stockfish team have nothing to optimate

Example:
In round 1 Spark 1.0 x64 will make 6.5 of 12 points. Spark 1.0 played the shortest game up to mate in this group and will get 1.0 bonus points.

Final result = 7.5 of 12 points.

In this group played Hannibal 1.0 x64 too. Hannibal 1.0 x64 made 7.5 / 12 regular points. The ranking from Hannibal will be higher as the ranking from Spark with bonus points (both have 7.5 / 12) ... clear!

So for each group bonus points for the fastest mate are possible:

In round 1: 24 games per group or 12 games per engine
= 1.0 bonus points for the fastest mate for each of the 8 groups are possible.

In round 2 / 3: 48 games per group or 24 games per engine
= 1.5 bonus points for the fastest mate for each of the 6 groups are possible.

In round 4: 96 games per group or 48 games per engine
= 2.0 bonus points for the fastest mate for each of the 2 groups are possible.

Other Example:
2 engines played the fastest mate in Round 1 (example: mate in 44 moves). Both engines will get 0.5 bonus points

That's easy and brand new stuff

Hi Sedat,

I can used your opening book if Fritz is playing. Because all other matches I will play under Shredder GUI.

Must do it because:

1. Live mode is possible with the system I used for SWCR (FTP-Trigger)
2. Can't play 2 games per system on Quad, not possible under Fritz GUI. Network tourneys not possible.

My PGN Random 4.1 book plays now over 30.000 games without any problems. For myself you produced the best available opening books if many engines used the same book. I can use your perfect book but I need it for Shredder GUI Sedat!

That's the problem!

PS: At the moment I discuss the rules in German CSS forum with other members of this forum. So I switched different rules / regulars. All can be found here:

Hi there,

I think I am ready with my organisation for ...

SWCR Champions-League 2011
http://www.amateurschach.de/swcr/_swcr- ... e-2011.htm

I working today / yesterday a lot on the detail page and made some points more interesting.

Example:
For each group you can find now a replay-zone.
For the moment I added 16 short games, played in SWCR-64, for testing in the new replay-zone.

Sedat Canbaz sent me his Perfect 2011 book for Shredder and Fritz GUI. Great ...

Tournament will start January 11th, 2010 for around 35-38 days.

With other words ... the TOP-32 in the World will play his one Champions-League with full power time control.

Hi franck,

The championship should be exciting. However you must use the latest version of Ivanhoe (Ivanhoe B47cAx64).

Why?...
Those new versions come out pretty much at random!

Hi Ernest,

I think too that I should play with version B49jA. This version is tested in SWCR-64 and we know how strong is IvanHoe B49jA in 40 minutes games. We can better compare this version with the results from 12 hours games.

40 / 150, 40 / 150, rest in 60 = 720 minutes max. = around 8-12 hours for one game I think.
