From Hiarcs at 2 cpu till Houdini 6 cpu, is under 300 elo difference?!

That's not too bad, that it not be worth getting Hiarcs! Is it?

(I'm talking about with same cpu, and that you want the best possible analysis, NOT for online competitive purposes. In this case, i'm wondering if it's that much worse to get the Hiarcs, which has more bells and whistles too [i mean, it is self-contained and more user friendly, i assume]).

I like the engine Hiarcs very much. I think I bought every version beginning with DOS versions. And I wish Mark all the best - although Harvey told me not to make CEGT reports in his forum as long as we list clones

To be fair though, both CEGT and CCRL were probably aware that they would not be allowed to post their updates in either the Rybka or Hiarcs forums once they allowed Houdini or any other Ippo based engine into their lists.
Personally, I can fully understand their stance.

Cheers,
Graham.
