Charles - could you please ask the Parrot author whether or not we can expect a new public release at some stage?
Thanks,
Graham.

Charles - how much stronger than Ares is Telepath?

Re: 2011 6th Annual ACCA Pan Am CCC - Telepath games
Telepath is stronger because it is always newer than Ares. Also, the only published Ares version is 32 bit while Telepath is full 64 bit running on 64 bit Linux on my overclocked machine at 4.1 GHz. Rough guess would be that a 32 bit version of the current Telepath is 75 Elo stronger than the last Ares and throw in 100 Elo for 64 bit then factor in the extra power of my machine. That would be about how to approximate it.Graham Banks wrote:Charles - how much stronger than Ares is Telepath?
Graham.
But, there is more. 3 years ago, I developed a cluster version of Telepath. Never gotten enough machines and a cold enough location to run it. For the upcoming CCT, I've gotten some commitments to get at least 6 quads loaned to me. I'll put them in my garage and open the door for cooling.
Think of them as development partners. Telepath is the development version and Ares is the release. However, I do sometimes throw extra stuff into Ares.
