Hi Michael,

we also started a test for CEGT-Blitz (40/3 repeated) which can be followed here: http://cegt.siteboard.eu/f6t202-testing ... -beta.html

BTW: Gerhard and me are testing the "n"-version. Is there a (bigger) difference to be expected with "o"-version?! This one does not run on my older Intel Quad Q8200 so I took "normal". Which kind of CPU is required for "optimized"?

Hello, Wolfgang,

the optimized versions are using the popcnt instruction.
The so called Advanced Bit Manipulations (ABM) are part of the "SSE4A"
instruction set, which must be supported to use the optimized versions.

I dont expect a "bigger" difference in elo performance. My guess
would be around 5 (with luck to 10) elo, but i cannot say for sure.

Of course i will follow the Blitz tournament. Thx for the info.

regards,

Michael
