Post by Hugo »

High all

the top 4 of the HS-Trophy_1 play now the final tour:
This time each engine gets 8 cpu and ponder ON.
Timer is again 10 +10.

Dear Clemens,

Thank you...

I've just noticed that your current tour is running on Intel E5 @ 3,4GHz

I wonder...what is the Fritz bench results on the current used machine ?

Best,
Sedat

Hello Sedat

When the tour is over, I will do a benchmark. If I remeber well, then it was a good bench, but not the best compared to the benchmarklist on your webpage.
This machine is a supermicro server with two Intel Xeon E5-2687W cpus. The default speed is 3,1Ghz turbospeed when all cores have 100% is 3,4GHz. Compared to other servers it is really silent. Nothing for having it in your living room, but it is silent.

Hi All

half of the tour is played. At the beginning it looked like Houdini will walk easy through the tour. But now after 5 rounds, it is only at 3rd place in the crosstable. Sure we have to wait till all games are done. But so far it is verry interesting to watch, and nice games are played:
