Please do not let the fact that the upgrade to this Rainbow version is playing Houdini in another 500 game match cause you to lose interest in this one. This version has a chance to take over the No.1 spot as well. In fact, Houdini jumped out to take a lead early on- and in the last couple updates he has not been able to widen the distance any further. Meaning "beta 1" remains well within striking distance- and we have well over 300 games still to be played.

Rainbow 1.0 beta -33 +33/-49/=86 45.24% 76.0/168A time limit of 10'+10" is a longer control than one at first would think. Just the fact that if both engines went 9 moves into an opening, there would be 1.5 minutes added to its time before it even has to start thinking about the next move- means that it actually would start with 11:30 on its clock. Think 8" and then move, and 10" are added back to your time, etc.
At any rate- we shall see.........
