I have Octochess r4690 loaded and it does ok. I loaded the newer r4692 and it is a holy mess. I have 4 cores, and it can be set to whatever you choose, 1 thru 4. But it doesn't matter. I set it on 1, it might use 2, or it might use 3. It uses what it wants to. And I don't know what to do about it. Surely I cannot be the only person with this problem. I am so tired of crap that doesn't work right. Can anyone help me here. Thanks.
george

Re: Please Ignore My Post!
I got in touch with Jim Ablett and he told me what the deal is on it.
But thanks,

Re: Please Ignore My Post!
Definitely a broken third-party build.
In the next Octochess version I've added a selftest for this problem. If the selftest fails, the build is broken.
To execute the selftest, simply start the executable and enter test
Obviously, in 4690 or 4692 the selftest won't fail as this particular test hasn't been added in that version yet.
