I have also purchased a new computer, an i5 with 4 true cores and NO HYPERTHREADING. It is basically almost the same as what I have. I had looked at a 6 core model, but I reasoned I could buy another like the one I am purchasing, and still have 300 bucks left that would have had to be spent all total on the 6 core mode. Plus I didn't like the hyperthreading and being overclocked from the factory. And for what I use them for, this is best. I know my way around it and don't have to learn anything new. And I can't keep up with more than 9 tourn. at a time anyway. But if I so choose, I could like I said buy another like the one coming and run 12 RRs at the same time- with 300 bucks left over that I would not have with the 6 core purchase.
I want to add that I have Ray Banks to thank for finding this i5 system. As all the salesmen told me they had nothing to sell that did not have hyperthreading. He had been helping me look and decide, and that is when he said he knew they were full of shit. He went on their website, which obviously they did not take the time to do- and found this model. I know I could probably disable hyperthreading, but I still get more cores for the money this way, and it is slightly faster than what I already have- and mine benches 40/40 at 40/21. Also, I might run some 4 core matches- but I have no use or desire personally to run a 6 core match. Plus, it will be easy to network it to its twin and have both running off the same monitor. (If someone hasn't seen the new Dell Ulta-Ultra Thin widescreen monitor- you are missing a beautiful sight.)
At any rate, again- I have Ray Banks to thank for finding this one. He took care of all that- all I had to do was pay for it, and its nothing but money. That was the easy part. Should have it in 10 days or so.
Again, results and updates soon.

It sure sounds like this testing can be a somewhat expensive hobby.
I can just imagine the work involved. If I had a 4 core system, the programs would get tougher to beat, but maybe my ego needs that.
