CountryChess: Qualifying matches

Post by countrychess »

Hello,

All country competitions are finished; the champions are known.

During the next stage, 4 qualification rounds will take place, with 12-game matches between 2 engines. The winners enter the next qualifying round, the eliminated engines will participate in a play-off tournament and still could enter the next round. These play-off tournaments are organized to fill in the free spots of countries that are allowed to send more engines than they have available.

TimeControl = 1800 +10 incremental.
Start rating = 2400 for engines that haven't played 20 games yet.
Check the "rules" section at the CountryChess blog for more tournament details.

Nice tournament Geert. I will follow it with interest.
We need more people like you to replace Leo, Olivier and others killed by the clone invasion :)

Thanks Dragan for your encouraging message!

And more good news, cause Nebula just reached the 3rd qualifying round (6.5-5.5 win against Murka).

I have heard about a new Nebula release. That's simply great! The third qualifying round will start later this month, so maybe you would like to test a new version of your engine there.
