This ratings test has almost concluded, results show what the head to head match has shown.
Stockfish Development version are near equal in strength to Houdini 3 at longer time controls.
More recent Stockfish versions may be stronger. For this version, Stockfish and Houdini 3 are so close in strength, it would take many hundreds of game to know for sure what program was stronger.
At this time StockFish is - 11 elo points against Houdini 3 the number 1 rating program on my list. Not bad for a free chess program.
