a match with increasing time idea

Post by Uri Blass »

I would like to have some interface to support the following type of match.

engine A play against engine B with no opening book.

You start with 2 games with fischer time control 1 minute per game +1 second per move when both A and B get both white and black.
If the result is 1-1 or A is losing then in the next match you increase the time control of A
If A is winning then in the next match you increase the time control of B

possible result may be
A-B 1-1(1+1 time control)
A-B 1-1(2+2 for A and 1+1 for B)
A-B 1.5-0.5(3+3 for A and 1+1 for B)
A-B 1-1(3+3 for A and 2+2 for B)
A-B 1-1(4+4 for A and 2+2 for B)
A-B 1-1(5+5 for A and 2+2 for B)
A-B 1.5-0.5(6+6 for A and 2+2 for B)
A-B 1-1(6+6 for A and 3+3 for B)

It may be interesting to see what is the longest time control that you get practically a result that is no 1-1 in stockfish-stockfish games and maybe people are going to try it in case that there is some interface that support it.
