Congrats to Lc0 Team!
When was the last time Stockfish lost a final? Stockfish is getting weaker and weaker. There's another new green network today, that's only good for selfplay Elos, nothing more.

Do you have a test that show that older version of stockfish could win the TCEC cup final?
Edit:I do not know if the new network of today is productive against other engines or for long time control and it seems that the developers have no interest in it (otherwise they could use their machines to do other tests except stockfish-stockfish games).

Re: Lc0 wins TCEC Cup 11 Final
As far as I know, the new nets are trained with more and more Lc0 games. As a result, Stockfish's playing style adapts more and more to Lc0. Too bad that the original (namely Lc0) can play this style better. The new nets are making the big cat SF more and more a tame cat. I noticed this and threw the new nets out of my engine some time ago.Uri Blass wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 5:00 pmOr maybe the opponents get stronger.Eduard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 2:34 pm Lc0 wins TCEC Cup 11 Final

Hasn't Lc0 recently improved, or have I misremembered? Didn't people say that version 0.29, the 13-Dec-22 release (32 days ago), was an impressive jump?

I think neither SF nor lc0 have improved for about a year. Isn’t that right? That would explain everything.towforce wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 7:59 pmEduard wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 6:51 pmAs far as I know, the new nets are trained with more and more Lc0 games. Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".

Hmmm... if neither had improved, wouldn't one expect SF to be winning tournaments rather than Lc0?

You are attempting to apply logic to the facts. That’s way you end up with preposterous conclusions like SF15.1 being stronger than SF7.towforce wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 8:18 pmdkappe wrote: ↑Sat Jan 14, 2023 8:06 pmI think neither SF nor lc0 have improved for about a year. I cannot find this version of Leela anywhere ? Is it private?
