Anyone know how to reach the author or if he ever released the engine? Use to play it a lot for fun pre-pandemic but not seen or heard from him in a long time. It was a fun engine.

WBEC-Ridderkerk old site used to have a quite exhaustive list of last updates (i.e. if SF 4 is listed, SF 3 is not listed):

https://web.archive.org/web/20140208021 ... pdates.htm

Eichhörnchen was not in that list, so I would say that it is highly unlikely that there was a public release. The author of the engine also did not appear in the list. Good luck!
