Tcheran 11.0 bug ...

Hi there,

I started for an hour the test-run for Tcheran 11.
All 16 matches hangs for the reasons, time to end.

In all 16 matches I can see 4 or 5-pieces on the board.
I can start a new game with Shredder GUI, so not the GUI crashed, only lost on time games.

Test-run not possible without resign-mode.

Hi Frank,
You have to click on Enable WeirdTimeControls in Engine Parameters. It must be ON.
If it isn't, it will cause the engine to not respond.

I can see three UCI paramters:

- Threads
- Move Overhead
- SyzygyPath

I think it have to do with syzygy 5-pieces if many matches runs to the same time (in my case 16) and all have access to the same syzygy directory. I start on an other PC test-games with ucidebug = on. Later ...

I can produce the mistake on Intel i9-10900k hardware.
For ETOC-G I am using an AMD-5950x system.

Same OS = Windows 11.
Same GUI = Shredder 12.

Now I have to look in Caligula 7 release version.
Also here it seems I have a problem ... later!

Which begs the question what version you are using in your tournament: the re-released 11 (from 16.2.2026) or an older one?

Not saw that, normaly I gave in my engine overview a hint, if I saw such things and wrote the date to the version nummer.
Example: 4k.c ... two versions 8.0 are available.

I will check that again with the newer Tcheran 11.0 from February 16th, 2026.

Problem solved I think.
On i9-10900k test-system a 50 games match is running vs. Wasp 7.0.0
With v3 from 260216.

All works fine, not for Wasp 7.0.0 but for Tcheran 11.0.
Again much stronger, I like Tcheran a lot.
It seems Tcheran 11.0 runs now without any problems.

So I will start the Tcheran 11 test again in 2 days.
I config the next two test-runs, so Tcheran 11 have to wait 2 days.
In the morning I replaced Tcheran 11.0 with PlentyChess 7.0.37 Pre.

PlentyChess filled the gap from the morning and plays very nice games.
I am looking so far, but I have to search now the problem I have with Caligula 7.0.
