list of private engines

Post by Uri Blass »

The following link does not give correct information

http://horizonchess.com/FAQ/Winboard/privatelist.html

Alaric is not private and I guess that there are more mistakes but I did not check the list

That's true and at least Bright is missing.
Alaric was private during a period of time last year and Bright was not yet around. The list is probably not updated.

Hi !

The informations are incomplete too. They are some unknown private chess engines ( a lot of under development)- like was Strelka ! I know at least three.

a) Rybka - Why? Not exist Rybka higher versions?
b) Strelka - Why? Not support currently tempo.

Symbolic is listed, but it's not a Winboard program although it does have an xboard interface. It can operate in console mode in the Cygwin environment, but there's no real motivation to make a Windows native version.

I think he has pretty much every engine that has never been released and is known.
