Junior in Elista
According some screenshots on Chessbase web site it seems that Junior was running the 9.1 version against Deep Fritz in Elista... Was 10.1 not good enough?

Yes, I remarked the same thing. It's very strange ...

The screenshot only showed the interface that was used and not the engine that was used.Patatov wrote:According some screenshots on Chessbase web site it seems that Junior was running the 9.1 version against Deep Fritz in Elista... Was 10.1 not good enough?
Junior was used under chessbase interface and the programmers probably used Junior9 interface.

No Uri, that's not correct
The screenshots show the engine pane and the actual engine that was used was 9

The screenshot does not show the engine.
I tested in the past after junior4.6 different versions of Junior4.x and the screen showed the same name even when the engine was different.
The engine was some dll file that I got by email.

Re: Junior in Elista
perhaps we are looking at different bits of the screen.
Anyway, I can't say I'm really bothered whether they used Junior 9, 10 or 11

Well... As Junior was running on a 16 CPU, the laptop was just a remote terminal... That could explain the 9.1 version.

Just checked again and they were using terminal services so the remote server was definitively 9.1... Very odd
