also i was wondering, do some of the guys in here have a problem with women who play chess? it looks like some them are not taking me seriously. i take chess very seriously. right now i am a poor college math student and i cant afford an expensive computer like the citrine. when i get out of graduate school maybe i can get one then.

I do not think anybody here has a problem with a women who plays chess -- but we are all a little tired of the sick pups who pretend they are a women...to be honest, I do not suspect for one second that you are who you are claiming to be ... you're not the first and will not be the last one..

oh well regards,

Hi Steve,

Well I was thinking hard about hitting the bid button on that Savant Royale - I really was. But my relative lack of success even with auctions I have won, together with a mis-placed opinion of my own abilities to repair the thing to operating condition put a damper on proceedings.

Cold Feet Regards

that bidders list was made up of well known collectors

funny the ones that win.. always win ..and the ones that lose.. always lose
the only thing that chances is the computer they are bidding on

so...you get that link to load??

Hi Steve,

There might be an issue my end. Earlier this week I was greeted by a rather catastrophic Windows 2000 error message upon boot-up and I had to do a partial restore from my original CD. However I am in "limp mode" at the moment - things are not working the correct way and I am going to have to finish some important computer work I have on the table first then re-install the OS.

So the link does not work, however I will try again when I have overhauled the software on my machine.

Typical Windows Regards

Steve B wrote:one of the two Computers i recommended to Jenny (and for which you chided me for)has just sold for close to $115 on Ebay

as defective as they can get..with absolutely no hope for repair..and the bidders went after it like it was a brand spanking new Beryl or Gameboy or Something:

Now Why Do You Suppose That Is Regards?
Steve
i can't believe, that you set the value of a Gameboy higher than that of an even absolutely dead Savant Royale! 8-)

and defective don't always mean 'dead' regards,

congrats to the Savant Royale Robert!

yes this is true
in fact my Savant II and Savant I have living processors
but the processor alone is not enough
you need to have a still alive touch screen to be able to recognize the player's moves
and of course you will need the printer
as to the display screen..that you can forget about

Idiot Savant Regards

With my Savant I i can play now with the printer (not all touch screen sensors were working from the beginning and it is only possible for the human side to have the white pieces); we'll see how defective this one is...

the Royale is a true collectors item
i hope it works for you
if so it will be the only known Royale to be working today

Well Done Regards
