Skeptical Regards,
Rick

so many members doubt the obvious Rick
my Avatar clearly indicates i am a cat
and i have said i am a cat

i think that this should be enough for anyone here to believe me

Now ..Where is my Litter Box Regards?
Sparky

Both good points Sparky. I guess your youthful Avatar is what was throwing me off.

A much wiser now regards,

Don't take it personal -- The "Geek Squad" just doesn't know how to act when a female enters the room (think of it as a nervous reaction.) If you're a legitimate chess enthusiast, it will show over time and even those wary of "trolls" and "frauders" will eventually lighten up.

If not, ignore them.

The "Geek Squad"? We may ignore you

Not a Geek Regards,
Terry
I am full geek, so I feel I have the right to speak on it.. ;) Being a geek isn't comprised of external characteristics but rather internal ones.

Wikipedia has it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geek):

Code: Select all

A geek is an individual who is fascinated by knowledge and imagination, usually electronic or virtual in nature. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the word geek as "1: a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat or snake 2: a person often of an intellectual bent who is disliked 3: an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity," though these are only three of many definitions.
Pretty much fits the bill for most of us, aside from #1 (I hope...)

Well, I was tempted to add the annotation..."Steve coming to grips with his Chessmaster Diamond having just downloaded the new user guide...".

But of course, that would be unbelievable, since who would ever call their cat "Steve"?
