Achilles 3, GM 0.5....

Post by fern »

A result to take into account. Or almost any good engine is capable of such a thing these days?

Wondering regards

I see that you still have doubts about it strength. I usuallywouldnt believe its strength otherwise I see some about 500 games about the top ten engines. Only reason I bought the whole thing about it being only second to Rybka is because of Djordje. By the way the score should be 3.5-.5 right?

Yes, 3.5 to 0.5, I had a typo mistake. And also yes, I buy the evaluation as second to Rybka because Dgeorge made it. Now the question is...how we can get it? :-)

It could be third behind the Rybka and new Strelka.

I also think that Strelka is getting closer and closer to Rybka's ass in the rating lists

Yes it could. Also it could be 6th. Or even 12th....

But who knows, so who cares? :D

I mean we want to see results and games not claims....
I hope it would not end like Hydra, the strongest Chess ghost in the world :)

BTW Larry Kaufman while Rybka-Ehlvest match was running, said that he has heard that the author of Hydra(i guess he means Chrilly Donninger) has been hired in a new job different than the Hydra project.
I don't know anything more than this but it would be a pity if Hydra project would stop.... :(

Pretty much, particularly if you hitch up 16 CPUs and the time control is a short one.
