Collector's corner: Polgar vs. Cat

Post by Dr. Axel Schumacher »

Hi all,
I was always wondering who chewed on the bishop of my München Set. Now I know.
Yesterday I woke up in the night and walked back to the living room. What did I see?! My cat (Noya), playing against my München Polgar.

I have to say I was very disappointed :x
My stupid cat.
She lost 4 out of 5 games !!

See here:
My cat evaluating the position.

Here, she doesn't know if it is better to chew on the rook or exchange the rooks to enter an about equal endgame.

A critical look over the board, before the attack:

What should I do with her?

Miao regards,
Axel

Dear Steve,

I'm sorry but I can not offer a trade since my chess-cat has obviously a severe malfunction in her opening book. After 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 she always answers with g6 ?, which is obviously a very bad line.
I found that a simple exchange of Eproms is not an option; and I cannot trade a defective unit to a famous collector as you. (She also tends to drool on the pieces if the game takes too long).

Furry chess-robot regards,
Axel
