Another newer version (maybe more than 1) will be out soon with more UCI options. I hope everyone enjoys the Fruit versions.

How do you know that it is the strongest free Chess program now?
Rybka 1.0beta and Toga II 1.3x4 are also free programs and the rating lists show that these are the strongest free programs.

Of course i hope Fruit-051103 proves to be the strongest free Chess program....

2. Is Ryan going to just offer more options to the existing engine while not strneghtening it?

From Fabien,Yes it seems.Unless there is a "The Return of the Fruit" as a surprise that is better than Rybka.

Ryan is working on it as said in the website,but Fabien won't be working on Fruit anymore ,Ryan can give us Fruit derivatives.

I heard he is working on another program called Chess64,Edsel said but I'm not sure about it.
