interesting Analysis Tony

it is certainly a good possibility that both Graham and i could be elected

i wonder though

what is the possibility in your opinion that neither of us will be elected ?

hmmm regards
Steve
My prediction is that Graham will get the highest number of votes, the fight between you two will be well worth the money. I dont see anyone else on the ballot that stands out like you two, also you both are straight like an arrow. If neither one of you selected, I will shave my head and then post a picture of me in my Police Recruit uniform holding an Atlanta Journal/ or a playboy.

:P

actually though

on the old board all previous elections results were shown in a link
i once studied all of the past results and it was clear that 70% of all elected candidates came from the first three spots on the ballot which is in alphabetical order(both CCC and CTF elections)

so the vast majority of moderators have had last names ending with B's and C 's rather then say S's or T's

one year i convinced Steve S to reverse the ballot to show it in reverse alphabetical listing and i bet him that the winners would still come from the top listed spots even though now the names will end in S 's T's R's etc rather then B,C D's etc

to try to prove me wrong he agreed to do it

guess what

4 of the 6x winners came from the first three spots(CTF included)

so after all of the campaigning ..all of the speeches..all of the chest pounding ,name calling and poll taking..

it could come down to something as simple and innocent as that

Historical Perspective Regards
Steve
Even if that is true, Graham would win and save my hair. Talking about History, you havent ran for moderator after I started visiting CCC. I would say go ahead and get ready for your winner smile.

yes ..my first run for high office
although i was nominated several times( i think 5) i always respectfully declined
why run now then you may ask(if you are not already bored to tears)

its not to prove a point or to thwart anyone else's lofty goals
its something some one here pointed out to me not long ago

namely..he noticed that the ones making the most remarks about moderating ..rarely themselves run for the job

he was right..so here i am

Lets Rock Regards

You know about the friends system, right? I have nothing against any of the current mods, but I am ready for some new faces.

friend system?
not sure i know what you mean Tony

as for me i have some old friends here still

take Fern for example

a more interesting and intelligent man you cannot find
the problem with Fern though as a friend is

at the first sign of trouble he will run for the hills ..away from you..as fast as he can

its ok though
i am used to it by now and do not expect his vocal support

a hug to him

on my own as usual regards

In a friend system you will let your friends slide and moderate your enemies. I was joking of course, you should be consistent regardles of what you do, and that's my only request to all the mods.

aaah ok .. got it
one thing i always liked about election time around here

threads like this which normally would be instantly deleted/locked/edited/pushed or pulled ..get to remain up for a bit

not so good for getting votes to moderate too heavily just right now
Steve
PS..that is just a joke

My pet locust died today.

It's very sad. I felt compelled to write this as the turmoil in my mind is so vivid.

The hamster ate it Steve.

Hoppy no more.

Very sad.

one thing i like about you Chris
you are right in there
right in your face kinda guy

now take George Speight
he is coming at me pretty good with both barrels blazing
he is standing shoulder to shoulder with his friend because he feels his friend is being unfairly attacked

i have been guilty of doing the same thing here in my day..defending friends i feel were unfairly set upon(of course when i make those sorts of posts they are quickly treated to total deletion - with no pre or post warning)

George is the type of guy who will be there for you when the going gets tough

gotta respect and admire that in a man

if i were in battle ..in war.. i could think of no better men to have in the fox hole with me then you or George

Carry On Soldier Regards

If we are not prepared to fight for what is right we are but hollow shells.

No offence is intended to those in the links btw. It only illustrates a point that really needs addressed. I hope you concur with this point of view.

i can see your point but i can also see the need for some to make posts like that from time to time

i have been guilty of those sorts of posts myself and to be honest i have also been annoyed at times when i see them

besides you made your point with humor rather then with insults
i am sure no one will take offense at that
