I am going to start eating the fish food. Kidding aside, another engine officially crossed Tony's 2545 :lol: elo barrier. I am talking about none other than bugchess. At this rate, it will challenge Rybka's dominance in another two years, that's ofcourse if the author can handle clone accusations. If anyone starts a rumor about bugchess, I want to be the first one. Francois, would you mind sending me your table? I am talking about the large one in the dining room. Here is the initial results from Xiaolin showdown, after 108 games. Tecnically the engine moves up to the next highest division, fight for the light, I will have results of that if I dont get another romi version.

Ahh, it looks like Bug has to wait in line. Something named Colossus is next in line for first division, and at the moment leading the division with almost 60% chance of promotion.

I would be very proud of beeing suspected of cloning :)
Unfortunately i think that Jean-Philippe (my brother and chess expert) & I have a lot of work ahead before triggering passionate cloning debates on the CCC :wink:

I have heard your brother's name before, somewhere. Is it because his name sounds similar to that of authors of Nejmet and Gaia or is it because he himself got an older engine? Or is he like a GM or something?If you really want to trigger a cloning controversy, just name your next version Bugka1.0 beta 32bit. Also, you somehow have to figure out a way to use similar amount of hash as Rybka and similar UCI options as well. :wink: Also you can post few messages in russian at a cloners forum.

No, to my knowledge Jean-Philippe is no programmer (outside his job).

I have got more updates for you..not yet finished. I let Bugka 1.0 beta 32 bit play in my first division (fight for light), and it is doing rather well. If it can keep this up, I am gonna have to move it up to the highest division were I expect it to score somewhere next to the new Movei.

Even more encouraging would be a nice result at the highest division that involves most commercial engines except for Loop (list is playing) Junior and Fritz. Dont get me wrong, the last version I tested was the one below, it was almost a year ago I believe. You made a 300 point leap, which is remarkable.
