I hope next ChessMaster 11 is old video card friendly. There were some beautiful pieces on the screenshots of ChessMaster 10 that looked really bad on my computer, just because my video card is outdated.

I would be happy to see "The King" go UCI or even UCI support for other chess engines, but somehow I just don't think its going to happen. From the screenshot I see the number of players online has not changed.

Can you define crap? Do you define it as weaker than Rybka? Or as weaker than previous version? Or something else?

if the new the king engine is stronger than the last version it is no crap.

i would like to see and buy an engine that made progress.

IMO the company in charge would do a good service if they would tell the customers about the engine progress too.
instead of concentrating on graphics and features.

Have you heard anything about GUI enhancements? It has not seemed as flexible as other GUIs in going over multiple variations, especially after running analysis.

If I read it right, Fritz 11 has added some additional features to study variations.

Another screenshot reveals that it will contain a 64 bit version of The King 3.50 (but certainly a 32 bit version, too):

http://tinyurl.com/24c698 (~90 KB)

The filename of the pic is

"New%20engine%20-%20The%20King%20with%20multithread%20and%20multicore_m.jpg"

so it looks like a mp capable engine, but the descriptions on the CM XI website don't mention that.

CM is concentrating mostly on regular chess software buyer who are more impressed mostly on graphics.
