How do I run .eng files like Zap!Chess Reykjavik.eng?

.eng files are usually created under the Shredder GUI once you've installed and loaded an engine.
You won't be able to use them elsewhere.

I thought Eng files were for chessbase.

I thought Eng files were for chessbase.
Ooops - you're correct of course.
Native Chessbase engines are also .eng files and can't be used in other GUIs.

Native Chessbase engines are also .eng files and can't be used in other GUIs.

It seems that both of us were right, I just checked my Shredder folder and sure enough there are five or six shredder .eng files. I was merely looking at the name of the engine, none of the pre-mexico versions were released under the shredder brand.

Easy: Use it with the Chessgame that you purchased with that .eng files...
