Which chess program for blitz?

Post by ChessAddict »

Which chess program to you guys prefer is the strongest for blitz chess? Some of the chess programs are Zappa Mexico, Rybyka, Fritz, Shredder, Junior, Hiarcs, and so on. I just wanted to know which one would be the strongest for blitz games. Thanks.

Currently the strongest blitzer on single CPU is the latest Rybka, Shredder 11 is behind Rybka by another 100 points.

Rybka, Hiarcs & Shredder seem to be the best choices !

Waiting for Hiarcs 12 ...

I forgot to pimp Naum and Zappa, if you have a decently fast quad.

Are you serious? Have you played with it under any other GUI besides its own? I only play 1m+1sec so if that is the case I should go ahead and order it.

Was it relatively easy to install it under Arena? Can you post your WB2UCI ini file? Have you played enough games to see how much of an improvement it is compared to the previous versions on single CPU?
