Have CCRL or CEGT rated winfinder in games? This maybe more worthwhile than testing several beta versions of Rybka.

I remember that Rybka Winfinder was tested and it was found that it was on the level of Deep Fritz 10 (Very weak compared to normal Rybka).

The reason is that Winfinder is only good at finding the winning move on positions that have such a move, but most positions don't, and in those positions Winfinder basically moves at random (you'd want to check multi-PV Winfinder to know what I'm talking about, most moves have the exact same score even though they're very different, they all are decent moves, though).

I love Winfinder playing style, it's a lot more aggressive in my opinion, too bad aggressiveness doesn't pay these days
