I hope you are not confusing that random move generator with Gothic Vortex :)

No, I was just trying to get people to try it out....At least it shows how the new pieces move....etc.

Well Vortex delivered an even more impressive mate, this one in 27 moves against ChessV.

While it was only 1 move sooner than the mate in 28 against SMIRF, it was a whole different class of mate. The mate vs. SMIRF was a "middlegame mate" -- which means SMIRF played the opening fine and a great tactic was demonstrated by Vortex.

Against ChessV, it sacrificed a Knight right out of the opening, and just about everything seemed forced flowing from that tactic. As I have said before, even "diehard" chess players will find these games interesting.
