The latest version is about 100 kbytes bigger. It is from today. There are also posts of Juri Osipov in the Kasparovchess forum. Yuri is working on his engine, and I hope there will be (I am quite sure) a big jump in strength.
Хвала Евгени!
Kind regards.

Belka 1.8.13 is special version with config file (weights) for testers who wants create some kind of 'personalities'. I' better recommend 1.8.7 or 12 - I don't know what stronger...

Re: Apologies Re: Start Your Engines!
hi Boban
yes, as Andrey said Belka 1.8.13 is an experimental tester version with adjustable weights (in the file options.txt). One have to adjust them by himself and I think its a hard task for non-programers (at least its hard task for me)
Belka .13 isnt strong by default, with non-adjusted weights in options.txt its rather weak.
Regards to all,
Geno

Hi Dave
Nice logo!
Regards,
Geno
PS:
About Igor -- he didn't complained so far against links I posted here and I hope he wouldn't in the future. In this case I interpret his silence as a sign of approval
I think that tests would be appreciated. All he needs is data
The tests you make -- matches against the same set of opponents with his 50.pgn ( http://igorkorshunov.narod.ru/50.pgn ) as openings base. Send him the games -- the more the better
(I think his e-mail is at his site. If it isnt there send them to me.)

How long does it take for your engine to see 25. Nxg6!! as the best move?
I'll give the game and the players after your engines have a go at this.

When the moderation team moved some recent posts from this thread with profanities in them, we neglected to look at the post headers of some remaining posts (the downside of using flat view as opposed to flat view).
Those posts have been now pointed out and have been moved also.
Apologies for missing this originally and apologies to those of you who made good posts, but didn't change the header.
Regards, Graham (moderation)
PS - Albert has since pointed out to me that those profanities were actual engine names which I hadn't realised.

Are you saying that the authors should change the names of their engines because poor old Albert says so?
We have 10 new engines so far for some loser to test.
We are going to enjoy this.
S****a 0.02 has just arrived.
It's quite nice and the author is............Mr. Y.
Prepare to be flooded. You are in for a big big shock.

This seems a bit unfortunate as now the whole discussion seems to have disappeared. That there is no download link anymore is another side of the matter, but I think the moderators have to form an opinion about allowing this. I believe the posts removed are still in the moderators forum, is there an option for original authors to change the heading of their posts or let the moderators do this for them?
Regards, Eelco
