Indeed Dave, when you look at it this way:
All this genius and all this fame just to go 2 meters under the ground and blash,it's over....we look at a sad grave in the middle of a cemetery....sadness :?

Hey, men,

that rest of Bobby´s body is not Bobby Fischer.
Weak up!

Every life ends up the same way. We should not be sad because of the fear, because that little space waits for us as well at some point.

I´ve never thought Kasparov was able to utter such nice words about Bobby.

That actually doesn't surprise me. Obviously GK had to defend himself when Bobby was alive & calling him a liar, cheat, etc but deep down GK knows he is a chess genius and to overlook his mental maladies.

To me personally BF is the personification of chess and what it is and what it stands for so it truly does make me sad when I see his earthly demise.

Hello Gents,

This is similar to Kasparov and Karpov socializing with each other at tournaments. Although they both were rivals and even enemies, they stated that as the two best chess players active on the planet, then who better to talk chess with?

It's possible that at one time, Kasparov and Karpov may have disliked and possibly even hated each other. But, there was always a deep respect too. When Kasparov was recently beaten and jailed by Putin's goons, Karpov tried to visit him in jail!

All the best,
Steve
