Is ChessTiger currently supported?
Does anyone know if Chesstiger is currently being supported? I have left several messages at support@chesstiger.com and received no replies and I'm a registered user.

Support at chesstiger wouldnt be the right place to email if you have the PC version of Chesstiger.Gorthru wrote:Does anyone know if Chesstiger is currently being supported? I have left several messages at support@chesstiger.com and received no replies and I'm a registered user.

The place where you bought it from would be the original place to try (after reading their FAQ, if they have one).Tony Thomas wrote:Support at chesstiger wouldnt be the right place to email if you have the PC version of Chesstiger.Gorthru wrote:Does anyone know if Chesstiger is currently being supported? What problem are you having? I guess that someone here can fix it for you.

Re: Is ChessTiger currently supported?
Thanks for your response Tony. I purchased it from Chesstiger.com. I had a question about upgrading to the latest version. Not really a technical question at all. I'm just puzzled. I have sent a total of eleven e-mails on four separate occasions over a period of seven months. It is all the more vexing seeing as I have already purchased a prior version of Chesstiger and am a registered user. I know from purusing this site I am not the first person with this problem. Hopefully I will receive some response this time!

Try using an aol account, I have heard of some support emails rejecting free accounts such as Yahoo and Hotmail.

Re: Is ChessTiger currently supported?
Thanks for your response Tony. I'm not using a free account to send the e-mails, it's my own isp account. I assume you mean setting up an aol account. I appreciate the advice but frankly there are only so many hoops I'm willing to jump through. I purchased the program from Chesstiger.com. I have read the FAQ. The site is currently working as of today. You can go and purchase the program. The site says it offers support at support@chesstiger.com so that is where I addressed my email. Honestly at this point I would purchase a whole new license just to avoid the hassle. The problem with that is I would have to send in a registration code in order to obtain the activation key. Let's avoid for the moment the ridiculousness of this process. The problem is that the email address I would have to send the registration code in to is support@chesstiger.com. The same address I sent eleven e-mails to and still haven't received a reply. Who is to say I pay for the new license and am left hanging for the activation key? I have done exactly what the web site advises to do. Any way you look at it, it's pretty bad support. I wouldn't have a problem if the program was put out there with the comment, "here you go, here's a chess program but there's no support offered". That's not the case. If fact my situation is specifically addressed in the FAQ on the site which again adivses, guess what, e-mail us. Here is the exact quote copied and pasted from that FAQ. - "If you have a problem with your activation key, just contact us. " I don't know if I mentioned it but I also pm'd Christophe Theron and am still waiting for a response. I just recently joined this forum but I had been watching it for a while prior to this and again I'm not the only one with this problem.

This is why 99 cent .info domains are so much better than free email accounts.Tony Thomas wrote:Try using an aol account, I have heard of some support emails rejecting free accounts such as Yahoo and Hotmail.
Most come with free email hosting as well. For $10 for your first year, you can get pretty dent hosting at Netfirms.
You also get two free domain names with that...

I was kicked out of Chapters because I moved all the Bibles to the fiction section.
