A new chess engine-without GUI- weaker than Toga II 1.4 beta5c cannot be commercial !
Theoretically nobody wants to buy a such engine !
A new standard in commercial computer chess appeared !

This is simply not correct.
Chessmaster11 is a commercial program and the engine is weaker than Toga.

Hi Uri !
Read carefully my text:
" A new chess engine-without GUI-......."

I admit that I did not read carefully your text.
I still disagree.
loop is commercial and is even similiar to fruit based on ponder hit statistics(should be disadvantage) but people insist to test this engine.
I think there is room in the market for an engine that is "fun" for lower level humans to play, because it plays "human" style chess. I know some engines claim to do this, but in my opinion there is a LONG way to go in this area, and a market for it.
There is also a market for an engine (weaker than TOGA) that can do a good job of explaining its moves or analysis in an intuitive way.
Basically, most people I know would rather play with and learn from a "real human master", than have a computer super-grand master, and an engine that could act a bit more like a "real human master" would be welcomed commercially.
I wouldn't go so far as to say such an engine would make the author rich, however .
Free Rybka 1.0 appeared in the end of 2005. Today, how many commercial engines do you know that are stronger on single CPU?
Here (CCRL 40/40) I can count three: Fritz 11, Shredder 11 and Zappa Mexico 64-bit. All were released in the late 2007, almost 2 years after Rybka 1.0. Until that for two years dozens of commercial engines (or versions) weaker than Rybka 1.0 were released and selling.
