Well it seems that Zappa Mexico II has improved the gap in blitz slightly while at 16 0 it is about the same. I am having some problems with my highly overclocked 4.4Ghz ... somehow Zappa engine doesn't load sometimes and I have to restart the match manually. This is most likely a problem of overclocking and not the fault of the engine. Zappa always seems to utilize hardware at a more efficient pace than other engines and thus seems to load the CPU's more. In this case maybe I am on the limit ... so I will try it again at 100mhz less. With regards to blitz it has improved about 5% against Rybka so far ... with Rybka scoring around 65% while before it was around 70%.

I guess many of the unwashed masses will not buy Zappa because of such statements, at least I will never spend money for a Cozzie engine.

I'm afraid the unwashed masses need some sense of humor...

This is clear prejudice against the unwashed. In protest, I refuse to wash until anthony appologizes

As an aside, I became interested in the origin of the phrase "hue and cry". below is from wikipedia

"
in common law, a hue and cry (Latin, hutesium et clamor, "a horn and shouting") Historically, a public proclamation or notice of intention to capture a criminal at largel; a call or cry when one is chasing an escaped felon. See also Felon.

By the statute of Winchester, 13 Edw. I cc. 1 and 4, (1285) it was provided that anyone, either a constable or a private citizen, who witnessed a felony shall make hue and cry, and that the hue and cry must be kept up against the fleeing felon from town to town and from county to county, until the felon is apprehended and delivered to the sheriff. All able bodied men, upon hearing the shouts, were obliged to assist in the pursuit of the criminal, which makes it comparable to the posse comitatus. It was moreover provided that a hundred that failed to give pursuit on the hue and cry would become liable in case of any theft or robbery. Those who raised a hue and cry falsely were themselves guilty of a felony."

I think that what should matter is the engine itself, and not its programmer's behavior. And I also think that Zappa Mexico is a must have engine for any person that considers itself, a chess engine freak.
Your beliefs create your reality, so be careful what you wish for.
