Provided that Alfil currently plays in my second division, and going for a promotion to first division, I am not really surprised. Alfil is indeed better than Romi at fast time controls. Also according to CEGT and others it is even better than Pepito. Match against Phalanx is currently 11-5 in favor of Romi, we shall see how the rest goes.

2734 isnt/wasnt really a typo, I accidentally used the wrong start rating so it should be 2434. Yes, the games against Phalanx went down the drain real fast. As I said, Phalanx is a king attack engine, and it takes advantage of Romi's weakness in that department. It also take advantage of Romi's dumb mistakes in endgames. I have been at work all day, they are having system conversions at Rite-Aid, so I had to stay and make sure the transition went smoothly as possible. I wont be able to go to work and say "I got this" like George Lopez, because I have only had 20 hours of training with the new system at a training facility and I doubt that it was adequate.
