Look,if your update option doesn't work for you,it does not mean that you can make major conclutions,ok?
This update issue has always been a problem for the ChessBase customers, for some it works sometimes, forsome it doesn't....
For example I was never lucky to update my copy of Fritz 9 when there was an update and I've always been a legal owner :!:
Besides,Ted was kind enough to give you a direct link and you still claim that the update is not from ChessBase, maybe Micky Mouse has sent me the update :!: :?:

Yes,it was via the playchess server,I didn't pay attention to the date, but the new Fritz 11 version is from 22 Feb 2008.....so it's too fresh :!:

Hi Wael,
I think you have been lucky. At the moment there is no new version available via the server...
That´s a pity...would like to have the engine too...
I installed Fritz 11 new from the CD and then went to the server.
At the moment there is nothing new and the link from Ted leads to the January 20th update...

regards

How did you find that Link? I couldn't find it on google. When i put the link all i got is this:

http://fritzserver.org/updates/
I followed the trail ...

If you go to Chessbase.com

http://chessbase.com/

Then click on the Online Chese Link (Located on the Right sidebar) it will take you here

http://www.playchess.com/

If you then click on the Click here to download the free client software link, it will take you here

http://www.fritzserver.org

Which is the Chessbase server where the Chessbase product files are stored. You can confirm this by rolling your mouse over the links and then check the status bar of your web browser and see where that link is pointing. I would think that Chessbase would link to their apps to this fritzserver.org site because the own it, but I could be wrong ..., However I can't help that fact that all links start with fritzserver.org. 8-)
