Hardware Questions

Post by swami »

1.Is Q9300 best value for money? Or is it still Q6600?

2.Do single cpu engines function well in tournaments without any problems in Quad?

3. How do I overclock? Do you have any useful links? there are so many links i can't seem to know which one is good.

4. Should i choose Xp 64 bits or Vista?

Thanks in advance.

This is my favorite site for overclocking. They have alot of useful info and guides.

http://www.overclockers.com/

once you are done reading, click on the overclockers forum link to search for specific info for your MB and CPU

I am surprised that your answer to the second question is no
_No one can hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward….

I must have misunderstood the question.
I thought it was single vs quad.
What do the question mean?

Whether the engines using only one cpu can be run on quads without problems :?:
I guess yes,but to speak the truth the question is misleading with it's simplicity :P

For chess, definitely XP 64-bit.
