Rybka 3 will be by far the strongest engine. Only a strong human GM stands a chance against Rybka.

I wanted to ask that many times myself, but I think he might actually be joking in every single one of his posts.playjunior wrote:Zlatnik, sorry for asking, but I cannot hold myself:Uri wrote:Rybka 3 will be by far the strongest engine. Only a strong human GM stands a chance against Rybka.

No, I heard a secret rumor that Randolph Tcheetaw Clayton, descendant of the famous John Clayton, had remarkable results against it. Unfortunately, due to non-disclosure agreements, I am forced to share this anonymously.Uri wrote:Rybka 3 will be by far the strongest engine. Only a strong human GM stands a chance against Rybka.

Although Rybka was handicapped by a pawn + a move which is unfair, Roman Dzindzichashvili was able to beat Rybka in two games which means that Rybka is strong but not perfect. Father (Pablo Ignacio Restrepo) was also able to beat Rybka in time several times (with no handicap). Rybka is strong but it's not perfect.

Given long enough time controls, there is little doubt that human GMs could win against Rybka...

But given infinite time controls, there will probably be a draw since both sides will find the best moves.Gandalf wrote:Given long enough time controls, there is little doubt that human GMs could win against Rybka...
