Graham, I am not sure if you noticed. The author of Obender has another engine named Chess 2.8 and he thinks that its stronger. He assigned it a rating of 2400, were as he thinks that Obender is only 2300.

I'll take a look. Thanks Tony.
Also note that this is the first engine from the author himself that didnt have a time management problem (incremental time controls).. There was a version of Obender where Jim fixed the time management, but I am not sure if the later versions adapted it. To make your task easier, here is the link to the website where I downloaded it from.

Just to add. I've had some short conversations with Evgeniy before he released his Obender 3.2.4 src. Possibly, it would be the last open-source based on his last email. Chess1 is his new toy! Please take note that all his releases display the same data in console mode.
It was the same case even when he released the first set of chess1 versions with src. The latest were closed source. I already informed him about this. But Evgeniy hasn't corrected this yet, maybe in his next release as it's just a minor thing. For your info.

Cheers. Got it. Perhaps I'll put Chess 2.8 in my next amateur champs instead of OBender, seeing as OBender will be past the 200 games mark by then.
Hi Graham,
You can use a version which is compiled by master Jim,it's much faster
