would be far nicer were they in EPD rather than pgn, then xboard or any program that understands EPD/FEN would be able to play the games between two programs.

Hello!
I had been using Dann's NNSSL.epd for matches using xboard and the -lpf and -lpi options.
But what I discovered was that scid does not like the opening designation by the fen put in the resulting pgn's.
It turns out that there is also a -lpf and -lpi options in xboard to load positions in pgn format
I am hoping scid likes that better, because I imagine the moves from the position file will just be prepended and scid will never be the wiser
I wonder if Dann has an NNSSL.pgn laying around his site ???
