Has anyone had any luck with Foidos Chess? The Demo did not work over here. (Now Okay, I had to restart for it to work)

Not bad, this demo. They have a nice layout. At 1st I thought some of the screen displays were small, however I found that they can be enlarged. I also found that you can even move the windows around. I wonder if it will be able to handle the demand from online users. :wink:

DGT might be on to something here ....

I think they used AJAX to built this, anyone have any ideas on this?

FoidosChess is a chess tournament broadcasting application that puts YOU in control. You decide what you want to see where and how. You are the Virtual Director. You have all the resources at your disposal and you decide which one you want to watch.

We are working hard on making FoidosChess a great product and now we need your help.
FoidosChess is going to broadcast LIVE the premium game from the third day of Young Masters EURO Chess Tournament 2008. Starting with today 3rd of August 2008, 14:30 CET time you can watch live video feeds from the chess tournament.

Since this is a beta test we expect to fine tune the application and hammer down any problems that might appear. Therefore we need your help and understanding.
There is a list of problems which we are aware of which might include but not limited to:
- Synchronization problems between video streams
- In certain situation the Clock might jump a few seconds
- FoidosChess will not work on systems running Internet Explorer 6.
- Certain keyboard layouts will not allow typing @ sign into the sign in name. If you can not type @ then copy/paste your email into the sign in box.

We will constantly monitor the system performance and we will keep you updated on the status using either email or the commentator audio feed. Please keep an eye on your email.
At the end of the test we will like to hear from you. Please share any problems that you have experienced, information, ideas or anything you see useful in order to make FoidosChess better. YOU ARE IN CONTROL. After the tests keep an eye on our blog http://www.foidoschess.tv/Blog.aspx, support forums http://www.foidoschess.tv/Community-Forum.aspx to keep track on how the system is evolving and we hope to see you during the World Chess Championship in October 2008.
