Hope this is a welcome thread? Ive re-wrote much of the functions in Mainsworthy fixed a lot of silly moves, you will find it a very different program now, less cranky moves, seems to do the correct replys , what it thinks are the best replys, let me know what you think?

I planned on a total overhaul, but after checking my move generator and re-editing my evaluator aswell as some fine tuning it seems ok now.

Engine Logo for Mainsworthy

Save this to the the engine folder.

You can use this in Arena, by choosing

Engines -> Manage ->Details -> Mainsworthy ->choosing the logo path.

I find it easier to download the engine to the logos folder. That way I do not have to chose the path every time I install the new version of an engine.

after reading through these posts , Ive learned so much, I now have begun the process of useing a search that searches again and again for each move found(itterative) so My simple engine can go deeper into a position before the final move is found.

I never thought this could be a stronger Engine untill just now! no rewritting from scratch, thankyou guys for all your input!.

And watching on Olivers ChessWar broadcast has been great! Cant wait to get connected again.

I mean doing seperate searches. itterative evaluating a move after each itteration.
