Shredder 7 and MP support

Shredder 7 was designed for MP use. I already use it on 2 cores.

Does anyone out here know if it was designed for effective use on even 4 cores or more?

BTW version 7 and 7.04 play amazingly well, and i have the feeling that versions 8 to 10 did not improve that much, except for the endgame handling.

Incidentially, I have it running on 4 right now... And not for the first time, and everythings is working well. So far I've not seen anthying indicating it shouldn't be provding what you would expect from an mp-engine.

And your notes to the versions, I agree there - though the strengt incrase is visible with later versions. The big surprise jump was for me from 7 to the free update to 7.04
