DanaSah 3.97 and losses on time

Post by Graham Banks »

Using a time control equivalent to the CCRL 40/40 repeating, I'm finding that DanaSah 3.97 frequently loses on time at either move 40 or move 80.
Have others also experienced this?
I've not had this problem with previous versions.

Regards, Graham.

I am running a tournament right now with this new version under Arena 1.1,no problems at all....I use 40 minutes + 40 seconds increment though....

Recently I made a tourney at superfast time-controls and new Dana have managed it up just fine. Look:

Code: Select all

Engine Score Da Am At Mi Mi Mi Ho Ho S-B
1: Danasah 3.97 14.0/14 ·· 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 84.00
2: Amyan 1.597 12.0/14 00 ·· 11 11 11 11 11 11 60.00
3: Atak 6.2 10.0/14 00 00 ·· 11 11 11 11 11 40.00
4: Mizar 0.30 6.0/14 00 00 00 ·· =0 11 1= 11 20.25
5: Mizar 0.10 4.0/14 00 00 00 =1 ·· 00 11 0= 17.50
6: Mizar 0.21 3.5/14 00 00 00 00 11 ·· 10 =0 13.00
7: Hopeless 0.49 3.5/14 00 00 00 0= 00 01 ·· 11 12.50
8: Hopeless 0.47 3.0/14 00 00 00 00 1= =1 00 ·· 11.25

I have to specify it's danasah397uci.exe from distribution file. Don't know about behaviour of danasah397wb.exe.

Hi Graham,
I had the same problem tonight with the "uci" tonight installed in Arena 1.99 b5.
Now I try wb installation. I just watched 2nd game: Danasah moved at 40. Rxc2 -00:01 so that´s quite sharp. Arena did not stop that game. But I have to watch the others too :(

I get quite a few time losses on move 80 which is even more annoying. :(
Anyway, thanks Werner. Glad to know it's not just me. Not that makes either of us feel any better of course! :P

Cheers, Graham.

Hi Graham,
I now try to help myself. There is a parameter in .ini file I will change. If I understand right I have to make it lower:
time_percentage 70
