Seriously Thor
is there a complete accurate list somewhere that shows what hardware will be used by each participating engine?

i doubt very highly that even Rybka 3 on a single core could defeat another top engine running on an Octal(as an example)

No Engine could be that good...
or could it regards?

Hi Steve. Yep it is that good. It will roll over the field like a steam
roller crushing everthing in site.

Best to you,

Gerold.

I wonder Gerold what the math is on that?
suppose that an engine rated 2500 is running on a single core
and that same engine now runs on an Octal
how much stronger will the engine be in terms of Elo if it runs 8 times faster?
in other words ..how much more elo is provided by an 8 times speed up ?
does the speed up gain become less at higher Elos...higher at lower elos?

i suppose someone has done the Math on this regards

Bob H. has done some work on this. It does increase the elo
with speed up. Depending a lot on the engine.
Rybka is a little difference. Even at slower speeds it still does very
good.

I don/t have any infor on what machine they will be running on
however i think it will be as fast as most there.

Instead of creating a new thread, I created a poll in this thread. So please select the 2nd ranking engine of your choice...

Kinda hard to vote when the exact hardware in still unkown
we see that an Octal is worth perhaps 150 more Elo then a single core and most of these engines are within 150 Elo of each other

i Vote ..PRESENT
