i truly believe that workng with chess engines, observing thousands of (engine) games, etc. is almost sure to make one a better chess player.
Larry has been involved analyzing millions of games (positions) for material imbalance tables, patterns, etc.
He's probably learned an enormous amount (of material and positional statistics) the last couple years....
it's probably no fluke that his rating is at it's highest level ever...at the ripe old age of ?
