Hi Steve
Just a note to let you know that I am still buying on ebay. Since we last talked I bought about 10 more machines. A couple of real nice ones too.
Bill
P.S.
I don't want to bid against you but I don't know your handle.

Here is my top beef from a enduser point of view:

Commercial Chess Programs / Engines that don't fix bugs in a timely fashion. (Chessmaster GME and Rybka 3 (Persistent Hash Bug) come to mind here.)

So what your biggest beef?

PS: Note I said Commercial Chess Programs, not Freeware Chess Programs. When I pay for a program that has serious bugs or does not function as advertised, I expect a patch or bug fix in a timely fashion.
Engine bugs, time losses, cloners, CEGT, commercial authors who think it's OK to copy from free programs, buggy tournament interfaces, Nalimov's failure to release his code under proper open source license, people who have no clue in statistics, Vegan, Rolf, Heinz, Chinmay. Well I better stop now. :-)

More than anything - my own lack or time and money to spend on computer chess.

Best,
Kirill

Well, there are some things I dislike about computer chess or chess programming in particular.
I mean, if I visit a bar from time to time to have a drink and some talk with a human being, I cannot tell them that I'm programming a chess engine or they just get overly excited.

So I have to lie and tell them that I'm a singer in a band and that I'm also a really good surfer in order to get rid of them. Otherwise the girls clung to me and they want to know all the details about razoring or this new forward pruning technique.

Yeah, sometimes computer chess just sucks ...
